Central Ohio Luxury Home Network

Posted to Greg Giessler, Homes for Sale

In July I had the opportunity to sit in on a bus tour for the Central Ohio Luxury Home Network. The Luxury Home Network is group of experienced Realtors from companies including Cam Taylor Realtors, Keller Williams, Coldwell Banker King Thompson, Remax, Dooley & Co., New Albany Realty, and HER Real Living. All the Realtors involved have had many years of experience in the Columbus, Ohio Luxury home market. Many of the agents involved have expertise marketing in certain areas of town but sell homes throughout all of central Ohio. In July’s tour we covered the northern arc of Columbus, inclusive of luxury homes in Worthington, Powell, southern Delaware County and Dublin. More specifically in subdivisions of Deep Run, Medick Estates, Old Worthington, Woodlands of Loch Lomond, Falcon Ridge, Woods on Seldom Seen, Wingate Farms, Olentangy Crossing, Golf Village Estates, and Wingate Farms. Though the tour was longer than expected I had the opportunity to listen to some of the finest Realtors in Central Ohio. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to do so again!

One of the highlights of the tour was listening to Geoff Ortlip, of Planned Communities, Inc. give a presentation on their new developments in Delaware county named Olentangy Crossing and Olentangy Falls. I have always been fascinated in watching how land is developed and redeveloped and the processes that take place within that realm. To see how someone can envision a development from seeing a space, create a blueprint, and then have the plan executed is an interesting an amazing process to me. I look forward to being able to continue to see the lots being purchased and new homes being built. The area is seeing tremendous amount of growth with companies such as Kroger, OSU Medical Center, Ohio Health, Columbus State, CITI Bank and many other businesses coming to the area.

We also were able to see two new masterpiece homes built by“Housewright” Builders, Paul Craver. The attention to detail in both homes was amazing every square foot of the home was masterfully created and executed with the finest of finishes.

If you are interested in learning more you can contact Greg or Phil Giessler of Cam Taylor Realtors or any of the other fine real estate agents involved in the Central Ohio Luxury Home Network.

22 Prospective Buyers Visit Historic Property - E. South St. Worthington, Ohio

Posted to Columbus Suburbs, Homes for Sale, Real Estate Markets

The Greater Worthington Realtor Association held their third monthly Twilight Tour of Open houses Thursday May 16, 2008. More than 22 prospective buyers visited the historic house on 300 E South St. in Worthington, Ohio - including a great granddaughter of a former owner.

Current stories relate to enclosing the front porch area to accommodate multiple beds for young boys in need. Yesterday we learned that it was her great grandmother who did do this to help her many young cousins in need. Of course it looks very different now, but what a story!

This beautiful 3 bedroom/2 bath home overlooks Rush Creek and you can enjoy great views in all directions. The kitchen has been completely renovated and beautiful hardwood flooring is located throughout the home.

Classic New England Style Home in Old Worthington

Posted to Homes for Sale

51 West N. Street - Worthington Ohio is currently on the market for the first time in 47 years. A wing of this house was moved from the Vilage Green to its current location in 1920. There are four different eras represented in this house. The oldest portion is the dining room. This is the area supported by unsawed, log floor joists, this section is from slightly before 1820. The living room section dates from the mid 1800's. Both of these sections were moved to the current lot. The den portion on the west side of the house dates from 1920. The fourth section of the house which is now the kitchen was added in 1950. This house reflects the charm of the Old Worthington area.
